Unusual ideas
The subject comes first. A game can be funny, uncomfortable, relaxing, stressful, or all of those at once, as long as its premise gives the player something memorable to do.
Independent game development
Foorbytes is a one-person indie game studio run by Rob, creating focused PC and mobile games built around unusual subjects and meaningful player decisions.
Foorbytes exists to make games that are immediately understandable, mechanically focused, and willing to explore subjects that do not usually become games. The goal is not to imitate a large studio. It is to build distinctive experiences that could only come from a small independent developer.
The subject comes first. A game can be funny, uncomfortable, relaxing, stressful, or all of those at once, as long as its premise gives the player something memorable to do.
Systems should be readable and purposeful. Foorbytes games aim to avoid unnecessary complexity while still giving decisions weight and consequences.
Foorbytes is intentionally small. Design, code, art direction, writing, publishing, and community communication all remain closely connected.
Player feedback, reviews, videos, messages, and community conversations help shape how the games improve and what Foorbytes learns next.
